Patrick J. Murphy, Ph.D.
Patrick is UAB’s Goodrich Entrepreneurship Chair. He has worked with entrepreneurs as a tenured professor for more than 20 years. He has built/led entrepreneurship programs, mentored and consulted to many successful entrepreneurs and trained learners worldwide. He authored the book Mutiny and its Bounty (Yale) and has published original entrepreneurship research in Harvard Business Review and other leading outlets. He has received many ecosystem, research, and teaching awards. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Small Business and Enterprise Development, former Board President of the Chicago Cultural Alliance, and he co-founded a New York-based racehorse training and aftercare venture that was active nationally for 10 years. Dr. Murphy supports Innovation Depot entrepreneurs through mentoring, coaching, accessing studies and databases, strategic perspective, and national and international-level networking.
