Patrick J. Murphy, Ph.D.
Patrick, who holds The Goodrich Entrepreneurship Chair at UAB, has been a professor for more than 20 years. He has built/led entrepreneurship programs, mentored and consulted for many successful entrepreneurs, and trained students worldwide. He authored the book Mutiny and its Bounty (Yale) and has published in Harvard Business Review and other outlets. He has received a range of ecosystem, research, and teaching awardsPatrick is Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Small Business and Enterprise Development, former Board President of the Chicago Cultural Alliance, a thoroughbred owner, and co-founder of a racehorse training and aftercare organization. His Ph.D. is from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Patrick supports Innovation Depot entrepreneurs through mentoring, designing research (e.g., A/B testing), accessing entrepreneurship studies and databases, and national and international-level networking.
